This looks like an exciting update to the program. I have not yet had an opportunity to play around with it other than to start a recon-all run on a subject. I will be comparing results of the runs for volumes, segmentation quality, and so forth.

One important thing to keep in mind is not to mix results with older versions. If you have time to run your subjects again then run them again; otherwise, stick with a previous version (e.g., 4.5).

About Jared Tanner

I am a PhD candidate in neuropsychology at the University of Florida. I previously studied at Brigham Young University. I spend the bulk of my research time dealing with structural magnetic resonance images of the brain. My specialty is with traditional structural MR images, such as T1-weighted and T2-weighted images, as well as diffusion weighted images. I also look at the cognitive and behavioral functioning of individuals with PD. Funding for the images and much of my research comes from NINDS K23NS060660 (awarded to Catherine Price, University of Florida). Brain images may not be used without my written permission (grant and software requirements).
